Tupaia's Famous Drawing - Tyrah

Captain Cook and Tupaia stood by each other side by side, becoming close friends. Captain Cook proposed a ride to Tupaia on the Endeavor. Tupaia started drawing so that people could see the difference between Polynesians viewing his world, and compared it to how Europeans viewed it.

Argo Cycle - Tyrah

Today, I have done an activity for my reading task about how a Argo Float cycle works. The Argo Float is a device that measures it's temperature and salinity of sea water. The Float is 1.2 meters long and weighs 40 kilograms. It's life span is up to five years. It collects data that is useful for scientists, oceanographers, meteorologist and and many others. It is designed to be strong enough to descend 2,000m below the surface of the sea.
