My Koru - Tyrah

I have been learning about a beautiful and well-made creation by God called a Koru. I learned that a Koru is a symbol of Creation and that is used often in Maori Art. I put in some of my traditional cultural patterns in my Koru that I drew.

This activity was a bit tricky for me but I still enjoyed doing it.

  1. Kia ora Tyrah,

Charlotte here from the SLJ team.

What a thoughtful and beautiful koru you have created! I especially like that you included triangle shapes to incorporate your own culture. Can I ask what your culture is?

I look forward to seeing more of your work!

    Ngā mihi,

    Charlotte
